In four days it’ll be two months ’till I’ll be in my car, towing the 4×8 trailer with my few belongings, to Albuquerque, NM. I can hardly wait.

I talked to Kai again, the lady from the apartments. She said to call her at the end of the month to make sure an apartment will be available on August 18th, my expected arrival day. She’s also sending me an application packet, so I can look over things and make sure I’ll have everything available when the time comes. If push comes to shove, I’ll take one of their smaller 10×10 rooms until the one I want becomes available.

I’m looking at the moon rising, it’s a beautiful light orange/purple right now. I can hardly wait to see that moon rise on the horizon of Albuquerque, in the desert night, the foothills of the orange/brown Rocky Mountains. I anxiously await the smell of the desert after an afternoon shower. The aroma is electric, as the occasional bolt of lightning that strikes the warm sand.

I talked to Mr. Crumb from CNW today about Albuquerque. He absolutely loved it, he said. He had spent a short time going to OCS (Officer Candidate School) at the Air Force Base right in Albuquerque. He mentioned that there was always something to do, and if you enjoy nightclubs, there are plenty all along Central Avenue. The New Mexican/Mexican restaurants are something to write home about, and just about every diner you go into, they serve green Chiles with everything. Even McDonald’s serves Chiles on some of their burgers.

And I love hot food! It seems however, I can only eat a small amount these days, for I get the worst hiccups ever. I get the same if I eat something fried and drink a coke with it. But it seems I’m about to hiccup a lung out one of these days if I eat something super spicy. But nonetheless, I’m sure the food will be astounding.

I’m still trying to get a job before arrive in Albuquerque. That will help out a lot instead of getting there and having to job hunt, but by no means have I left that possibility out.

OK, that’s all for today.’Till next time.

Signing off.
