So here I am again. I’m at work naturally. The skies are gray; my desperation for this move is getting ever more desperate. It did some good raining today, and it looks like it’ll do some more, as Chadney and I sit here and watch movies the rest of the night.
I’ve been feeling stressed out about this move, but I can’t let it get to me. I should just be happy about; and . . . . For the most part I am. I keep worrying something is going to happen to me between now and then, but those are mainly just fleeting thoughts. I trust in the fact that if you believe in something strong enough, that will happen, in a quantum theory sort of way. I’ve discovered this to be true in the past, that when I’ve believed in something so strongly, that the pure will and energy I put into it makes it come to be. This may be hard to understand for some, but just do some research on it and come up with your own thoughts.
I did some of my own research this morning for a Kung Fu / Wushu school in Albuquerque, NM. The school is called MartialArtistry, and has been nominated time after time as being the best school in the South-West, and has put out more winning champions in nationwide competitions. But I’m not necessarily interested in going in for competition. I’m in it for the work out, the discipline and just to tone my body and enhance my reflexes. First month is $50 and includes a free kung-fu uniform, every month after that is only $69/month. The student to teacher ratio is 3 to 1, which is essential in any student’s performance in learning. I’ve always been mystified by the form of Wushu:
Misconceptions abound about the history of Kung fu. Even the term is a misnomer. Kung fu, much used in the West, actually means task, work performed, special skills, strength, ability, or time spent, and is a generic term for exercise. Wushu is the correct term for martial arts (wu meaning military, shu meaning arts). It is also sometimes known as kuo shu (national arts); a title coined in the 1920’s, which has mostly reverted back to the original Wushu. Kung fu flourished in China during the Republic (1912-1948), but when the Communists took over, the study of martial arts, except in secret, ceased. In the 1970’s, kung fu returned to mainland China in the guise of a national sport: modern Wushu.)
I took Tae Kwon Do back in 1998, but only advanced to White belt yellow stripe, just shy of three months of training. I’ve been wanting to go back ever since, but something more artistic, perhaps something more challenging. I’ve become a fat-body in the past eight months, having gained 35 more pounds and becoming lazy. Hey, what’s a security guard to do? But I’m ready to change that again. I know that when I work out, and not something repetitive like running or swimming, I feel more alive, fresh and just plain willing to do more than I want to.
I am going to have to be sparing with my money until I can get the job that pays good, as a security guard the possibilities are endless, its just finding that certain job! Just like with the job I have right now, I had just happened to walk in to the win job center and saw the posting on the board for Security Guards $16.89/Hour. It was mainly luck.
So hopefully something will eventually turn up in Albuquerque just like that, because I hate being stretched too thin. Well, I’m sure no one enjoys it anyway. Anywho, I’d like to get myself established and live a happy life. That’s all I want.
Well I’m off to watch some movies. Take care!
Signing off,
-Bull
