Today, at 0800 I go and get my trailer hitch installed. It should only take about 2 hours, that’s what the man on the phone had told me sometime last month.

Looks like I’m going to be off sooner than I thought; my last work day was supposed to be on the morning of the 13th, but I’m scheduled now to be off for three days for the 10th 11th and 12th, so that cuts my days down a bit. So when I go to work tomorrow night, Wednesday, that’ll be my last night.

I called about 13 other security companies in Albuquerque yesterday in reference to jobs. Well, only five of them actually answered the phone, and of those five three of them said they were hiring. Two actually had some sort of benefits plan, and the last didn’t, but was the friendliest while speaking on the phone. But like my folks said, I don’t have to get a super duper job right away, just something to hold me off for a while until something better comes along, and that’s what I intend to do.

I cannot wait to move into my apartment. With little to no furniture, it’ll be fun for a while; I am sure however, there are plenty of salvage stores or second-hand stores for tables and beds or whatnot. I have four chairs I’ll be able to take with me, and I hope those will fit into that small trailer, but then again, I’m not taking an entire house with me! Just a little 10×12 room worth of stuff is all I’ve got so far, but I am young and have my entire life to collect things.

Well, time to pack up my laptop and get ready to leave work.

Signing off,

Update: Yep, it only took 2 hours to get the hitch installed. One step closer to my move! Now I just have to have my last night at work, pick up the trailer, pack it, and go. Albuquerque here I come!
