Recently Kelly Carter wrote a review about Jott.com, a very handy voice-to-text service. I’ve used this service extensively and I can’t get enough of it! You create an account, setup your contact list, call the 1-800 #, tell it who you want to send an email/txt to and just start talking. The transcription from voice to text is amazing with something like 99% accuracy. If you say a word you know it will misspell, simply spell the word after you say it. That simple.
And now it has come to my attention that Jott has released an application just for Blackberry that integrates with your current email program and allows you to reply to emails via voice, but instead of calling it in, you just talk to the application. This is really cool!
But when I went to download it at jott.com/bb it wasn’t available today:
The Jott for BlackBerry Beta is temporarily closed to new users due to overwhelming demand. We expect to be back up next Thursday 3/20/2008, so please check back. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
So yeah, you can be assured I’ll be back next Thursday to do a thorough application review! In the meantime, go sign up at jott.com and play around with it.

Bull,
I hadn’t heard about the new BlackBerry app, or I would have been one of those overwhelming their server. I’ll just have to wait. Thanks for publicizing this.
